PURPOSE:To make adequately changeable the discharge direction of powder and to prevent the wear of the inside wall surface of a tuyere in the stage of blowing the powder through a lance and the tuyere into a furnace by curving the top end of the lance and making rotatable the lance body. CONSTITUTION:The top end 5a of the powder blowing lance 5 inserted through the tuyere 1 into the furnace is curved and is made freely rotatably by a rotating and connecting construction 10. The construction 10 is constituted by fastening rotatably a stationary flange 5b of the lance 5 and a stationary flange 11a of a powder transport pipe 11 by means of a loose flange 12 and bolts and nuts 13 via a gasket 14. The direction of the curved top end 5a can be freely changed when such lance body 5 is rotated, by which the blowing of the powder from the tuyere 1 toward the optional direction of a raceway 15 in the blase furnace is made possible. |
