Removable floor for covering comprising a plurality of rectangular-shaped panels assembled and bolted together in an arrangement of offset rows. The means of assembly of the panels is a means which allows the panels to slide along a direction located within their plane, such as a tongue-and-groove assembly. Each standard panel 10 has at a corner 48 of one 16 of its edges, and in a predetermined position on the edge 14 adjacent to the other corner 50 of this first edge, two fittings 52, 54 which are suitable for receiving two different branches of an angle of predetermined shape transversely to the plane of the said assembly, such that a corner 48 of each panel newly laid in the current row is solidly fixed by such an angle to an edge of a panel of the preceding row. <IMAGE>
