PURPOSE:To attain reduction in the loss of amine vapor and the scale-down of an apparatus installation area, by forming an apparatus into a vertical structure and providing one opening coming to a feed-in and feed-out opening to the top part thereof and providing a vapor escape preventing means such as an air curtain to said opening. CONSTITUTION:An article 2 to be painted coated with an amine or ammonia curable type paint composition is introduced into an amine or ammonia vapor holding chamber 4 from the opening 5 thereof through an air curtain 6 in a state suspended from a conveyor 1 and contacted with amine or ammonia vapor injected into and allowed to fill the chamber 4 from a vapor blow-off port 7 to cure a paint film. The article 2 to be painted after curing passes through the air curtain 6 again with the movement of the conveyor 1 to the direction shown by the arrow to be carried to the next process from the opening 5. The vapor in the chamber 4 is taken out of the chamber 4 from a suction port 8 to control the concn. of the vapor in the chamber 4.
