PURPOSE:To decrease a memory capacity by storing a time base change of one frame period of an image pick-up tube signal at the time of image picking-up of a special color and controlling the frequency and the phase of a reference signal for processing the color signal based upon the contents. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the image picking-up, a special color is image-picked up by an image pick-up tube 2, and a demodulating color signal of one frame period is stored through BPF, a frequency demodulating circuit FDET, etc., to a memory device MA. The memory contents and the frequency difference of the output of a modulated color signal by a frequency comparator FCOMP and an oscillator OSC are added and a voltage control oscillating circuit VCO of the oscillator OSC is controlled. On the other hand, The starting of oscillation of the circuit VCO is controlled by single multi MM which is operated in response in response to a phase comparator PCOMP, and the frequency and phase of a reference signal for processing a color signal are controlled. Thus, the memory capacity is decreased to one frame of the color signal and a stable color image pick-up can be executed.
