PURPOSE:To obtain a high-tension soft-magnetic thin steel strip of Fe-base alloy by subjecting the molten metal having a specific composition consisting of Si, Be, B, V, Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf, Cr, Cu, and the balance Fe to rapid cooling on the moving cooling body to be solidified. CONSTITUTION:The high-tension soft-magnetic thin steel strip of Fe-base alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, 2.5-7.0% Si, >=1 kinds among 0.01-3.0% Be, 0.01-3.0% B, 0.05-5.0% V, 0.05-5.0% Nb, 0.05-5.0% Ta, 0.05-5.0% Zr, 0.05-5.0% Hf, 0.5-10.0% Cr, and 0.5-5.0% Cu, and the balance Fe with innevitable impurities, and can be obtained by continuously feeding the molten metal having the above composition onto the cooling body whose cooling surface is moving and sending its new surface successively, and by forcing the molten metal to be solidified by the rapid cooling. The above thin steel strip is a high-tension nonoriented silicon steel sheet having >=about 50kg/mm<2> tensile strength, >=about 1.5T magnetic flux density B50, and <=about 100w/kg iron loss W10/1,000. |
