PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device capable of forging a slab in its longitudinal and widthwise directions through one pass, by arranging vertically dies, having each a projected pressing face, vertically oppositely to each other, and slanting the upper and lower dies. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower dies 9 are positioned slantly to the longitudinal direc tion of a slab 1, which is sandwiched between the short-radius sides of respective pressing faces 8 of projected curved faces of dies 9, having each a cross section of eccentric circular-arcuate shape. Next, when upper and lower reciprocating sleeves 6 are moved in the moving direction of slab 1 by rotating respective screw rods 3, the distance (radius) between the contacting surfaces of slab 1 and pivotally attaching points of upper and lower dies 9 is gradually increased, and the slab 1 is spreaded by the dies 9. As the slanting direction of die 9 is deviated from the longitudinal direction of slab 1 by a prescribed angle, the dies 9 spread the slab 1 not only in the longitudinal direction but in the widthwise direction thereof, and the form-rolling comes to an end when said radius becomes the longest. Next, the rods 3 are reversely rotated by changing a rotating device, to return the sleeves 6 to their original points, and the slab 1 is moved by one form-rolling portion by pinch rolls 2 to finish one cycle of form-rolling. |
