PURPOSE:To specify a prescribed surface area even at the depression of plural points by specifying a rectangular surface area defined by using two different points as two diagonal vertexes and determining respective single points in respective modes. CONSTITUTION:A word processor is constituted of a body 01 including a microcomputer dictionary or the like, a keyboard 02, a display device 03, and a switch panel 04. Two different points are inputted from the switch panel 04 and a rectangular surface area defined by using these points as two diagonal vertexes is specified to execute the processing of the corresponding area. When respective inputs are detected as plural point groups, respective single points specifying the single rectangular surface area are determined. In the mode 1 e.g., the upper left and lower right input point groups of the X and Y coordinate values are determined by the minimum and maximum values respectively, and in the mode 2, the upper and left lower right input point groups are determined by the maximum and minimum values respectively. In the 3rd mode, respective groups are determined by the average value. |
