A trailer chassis is composed of a tubular frame, an axle and a towing tube allocated to the axle. The axle is releasably connected to the tubular frame in axle mounts. The tubular frame is provided with mudguards and with a holder for licence plate and rear light. Various attachment parts can be releasably fitted onto the tubular frame with the aid of plug-in clips and gripping elements.
