PURPOSE:To reform hydrocarbon in fuel and make temperature distribution and current dessity in a cell uniform by installing a porous supporting layer on a continuous plate which is a fuel passage in a cell, and impregnating with active catalyst for reforming. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst part material 1 consists of a wave-form metal plate or sheet 2 made of stainless steel. Continuous peak regions 3 restrict passages 8, and process gas is reformed to hydrogen during movement. A porous catalyst supporting layer 11 such as ceramic is formed on a peak plate region 5, a bottom plate region 6, and a side plate region 7 of the catalyst part material 1, and impregnated with active catalyst material 12 for reforming such Co, or Ni-Co alloy. Thereby, performance and life of the cell are increased. The catalyst material 12 is arranged uniformly or unevenly between the inlet end and the outlet end. |
