Machine for cutting foodstuffs and more particularly for slicing meat. Machine characterised in that it comprises a mobile assembly for bringing the product to be sliced 5 during the cutting operation, an evacuation device 2 and a rotary cutting knife 3 arranged between the bringing assembly and the evacuation device whose axis is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the bringing assembly. The said bringing assembly comprises a conveyor belt 1 having projecting frictional structures 4, which belt is an endless belt which can be oriented during the cutting operation by directional rollers 6, 7. The projecting structures may be shaped on the surface of the belt into studs, knobs, pins, teats or the like. <IMAGE>
