EP--98712 A A plant care product has a body member (5), pref. of foamed plastics, at least a part of which is coated or impregnated with a combined plant nutrient and leaf cleaning and/or polishing composition, pref. a blend of silicone fluids. Pref. the body member comprises a first layer (6) of flexible polyurethane foam, most pref. 10-40 mm thick, 12-30 kg per cu.m. density, and having 25-65 cells per inch, carrying the plant feed and cleaning fluid and a backing layer (7) of less flexible polyethylene foam, most pref. 5-15 mm thick, 24-35 kg per cu.m. density, and having 25-70 cells per inch, impervious to the plant feed and cleaning fluid. - The two layers are most pref. bonded together with a synthetic rubber/resin adhesive in a non-flammable solvent having a solids content of 25-30 percent and an open time of 15-300 secs. - The nutrient element of the plant feed and cleaning fluid is pref. a liquid concentrate incorporating nitrogen, phosphate, and potash with chelated trace elements, most pref. LIBFEED 212 (RTM), which comprises 5-25 wt.% of the total compsn. The remainder is most pref. a blend of 10-30 wt.% of high viscosity, 20-40 wt.% intermediate viscosity, and 30-70 wt.% low viscosity silicone fluids, specifically having viscosities of 30,000, 10,000, and 300 centistokes respectively. - The invention is a foamed pad incorporating a combined plant nutrient and leaf cleaning compsn. for the care and maintenance of house plants. Handling of the pad is facilitated by a backing pad which prevents the liquid compsn. from contacting the user's hand.
