PURPOSE:To improve the car heating performance by forming the outlet of a refrigerant on the outer wall side of an intake side water jacket on either the front end side or the rear end side of an engine main body and forming the inlet of the refrigerant on the outer wall side of an exhaust side water jacket respectively. CONSTITUTION:The said device cools an engine via the boiling gasification of a liquid phase refrigerant stored in water jackets 4, 5, the generated vapor is guided into a condenser 10 and is cooled and condensed, then the liquid phase refrigerant is returned to the water jackets 4, 5 with a pump 6. The high-temperature refrigerant taken out of the water jacket 5 is circulated for heating through a heater core 22 installed in a car room 26. In this case, a refrigerant feed passage 21 to the heater core 22 is connected to an outlet 27 provided on the outer wall side 3a of the intake side water jacket 4, and a return passage 24 is connected to an inlet 28 located nearly diagonally to the said outlet 27 on the outer wall side 3b of the exhaust side water jacket 5 respectively. |
