PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device capable of cutting off deposits surely irrespective of the property and amt. of the deposits by pressing a cutting knife for cutting off the deposits on a furnace port with the inclining force of a converter against the deposits on the furnace port at constant pressure by a constant-pressure pressing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A cutting knife 8 for cutting off deposits on a furnace port with the inclining force of a converter (not shown in the figure) is supported by a cutting knife bed 7 and a shaft part 6, and moved back and forth by the operation of a hydraulic motor 13 through a reduction gear 11, a driving shaft 10, etc. The pressurized oil from a hydraulic pump 14 is supplied to the hydraulic motor 13 through a three-way changeover valve 16, and the motor 13 is rotated normally and reversely in the direction (a) and (b). When the pressure in oil pipelines 15 and 28 increases to more than a specified value as the cutting resistance increases, the pressurized oil is discharged into a tank 27 from relife valves 25 and 29 through a pipe 35. When the pressure in the pipelines 15 and 28 decreases, the three-way changeover valve 16 is operated by the signal from a pressure transmitter 19, and oil is injected. Said cutting knife 8 is pressed against the deposits on the furnace port at constant pressure by said constant-pressure pressing mechanism. |
