PURPOSE:To obtain water of good quality, freed of harmful components and converted to mineral water by mixing feed water with ozonized gas supplied thereto by stirring the water with a stirring machine and allowing the water to contact with the ozonized gas, and passing the water through a mineral layer and a sterilizing light source respectively. CONSTITUTION:A stirring machine 5 is driven after pouring city water into a treating tank 2, ozonized gas is fed from a suction cylinder 3, and an ultraviolet lamp 7 is lit. The city water is mixed with ozonized gas during stirring to contact therewith and deodorized, and organic compds. therein are decomposed by oxidation. Bacteria contained in the water are sterilized by the ozone and the irradiation with the ultraviolet lamp 7. The water contg. bubbles, which have been deodorized and sterilized by the above described process, contact with a mineral layer 8 and pass therethrough, eluting thereby the chemical components in the mineral by supersonic wave which generates in accompany with bursting of bubbles while changing the chemical components to mineral substances; thus, the feed water is converted to mineral water.
