PURPOSE:To view an enlarged image without sensing any uneven brightness by fitting Fresnel lens to each transmission screen, and selecting optical characteristics of each Fresnel lens so that transmitted light from each Fresnel lens at the boundary of each transmission screen travels to a fixed point at distance from a polygonal transmission screen. CONSTITUTION:Respective projection light beams from video projectors 1a, 1b, and 1c are refracted by Fresnel lenses 5a, 5b, and 5c having different center positions and guided to respective transmission screens 2a, 2b, and 2c. Then, both projection beams from the video projectors 1a and 1b which are refracted by the Fresnel lenses 5a and 5b are supplied to a boundary P2. In this case, the projection light beams from the respective video projectors 1a, 1b, and 1c at boundaries P2 and P3 travel to and pass through the fixed point 0 at distance from the polygonal transmission screen 3 consisting of the respective transmission screens provided successively. Then, when viewers look at an image projected on the polygonal transmission screen 3, light from the individual light sources at the boundaries of the adjacent transmission screens seems to be most brightest when the polygonal transmisson screen 3 is viewed from the point 0.
