A billiard-table (1) according to the invention comprises a rectangular plate (1a) covered with a cloth (10). The bands (2) are comprised of rectilinear sections (3 and 4) which are removably fixed to the cloth by means of ribbons (8) having picots (8a and 8b) of different populations. The bands (2) are easily displaceable to transform an American billiard-table top into a French billiard-table top. One application is the transformation of ping-pong tables or other table plates into a billiard table.
