PURPOSE:To improve the use state of constituting parts of a picture information processing device and to improve the quality of reproduced images on an analog picture plane by attaining uniform picture information for the density of picture element change of the analog picture and dividing the analog picture or enlarging or reducing it. CONSTITUTION:Partial picture planes of the analog picture plane are scanned successively, and scanning due to a lens system 1 reaches the partial picture plane sectioned by dividing lines X4, X5, Y10, and Y12. When a magnification signal corresponding to this cannning position is fed from a focal length setting part 8 to a focal length controller 7, a control signal corresponding to the magnification signal is given to a focal length operator 6, and the focal length of the lens system 1 is controlled by the operation of the focal length operator 6, and optical enlargement due to the lens system 1 is so executed that 4-fold area of the area of said partial picture plane is fed to the image surface of a photoelectric transducer 2. Setting of partial picture planes by dividing lines is executed by the focal length setting part 8.
