PURPOSE:To eliminate a gap between recording tracks and to increase the quantity of data to be recorded on a magnetic disk by using a composite magnetic head containing two magnetic heads having sloping angles in the magnetic gap direction, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A fixed sloping angle is formed relatively in the magnetic gap direction between a pair of magnetic heads 25a and 25b which perform the recording/reproduction of data to recording tracks 32 and 33 adjacent to each other. Therefore data having different magnetizing directions are recorded to the tracks 32 and 33. The data are also recorded in the same way with magnetic heads 24a and 24b constituting the 1st composite magnetic head 21 which records and reproduces data to the recording tracks on the rear side of a floppy disk 3. In such an azimuth recording system, the generating level is low for a crosstalk phenomenon due to adjacent recording tracks. As a result, the recording tracks can be set close to each other in the same recording area A. In this way, the quantity of data to be recorded is remarkably increased. |
