PURPOSE:To press nearly the whole original in contact with a platen and to almost prevent exposure light from leaking by arranging a flexible original presser and plural coiled springs under a box type cover. CONSTITUTION:The flexible plate body 25 for pressing an original is made of a flexible elastic body like rubber. The upper end of a coil spring 30 is fixed to urethane foam 32 by, for example, sewing and the lower end contacts the upper part of said flexible plate body 25. Then, when a thick original B like a book is copied, the inclination of the spring is large at the backbone part and small at the top cover and back cover parts, and the flexible plate body 25 presses the original B entirely with the force of the spring to take an accurate copy. |
