PURPOSE:To improve a silencing effect, by a method wherein an exhaust gas guide port is formed in the central part of a flat hollow housing, a spiral space is partitioned into plural expansion chambers, communicated with each other, by means of partitions arranged in a spiral formed centering around an inner core. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas guide por 7 having an injection nozzle 8 is inserted into a flat drum-shaped housing 2 in a position which is located eccentrically from the center of said housing. A first partition 9, bent along the direction of a spiral formed centering around the exhaust gas guide pipe 7 serving as a core, is disposed in the housing 2, a spiral space 11 in the housing is divided into plural expansion chambers 14a-14i, communicated with each other through communicating ports 15, by means of partitions 13a-13h, and an exhaust gas outlet 16 is formed in an expansion chamber 14i located at the terminal end of a spiral direction. |
