PURPOSE:To make it possible to control the flow rate and the pressure of a vane pump with a single member by providing an orifice forming member, which divides the fluid passage into two parts, between the cam ring and the housing and by providing a spring at one end of this forming member and leading the discharge pressure to the other end of it. CONSTITUTION:Between a cam ring 14 and a fixed ring 12, an orifice forming pin 32 is placed in parallel to the axial line of a rotor 17, and a spring 35 is set, at one end of the pin 32, between a hole 10a and this end. Also at the other end of the pin 32, the orifice pores are provided to divide a pressurized fluid passage 15 into working chambers 15A and 15B. In this way, the pin 32 having the orifice section is displaced in response to the delivery pressure, making the orifice opening area variable, and enabling the control of both the flow rate and the pressure by a single member.
