PURPOSE:To prevent a quick drop caused by an empty weight of an opening/ closing body, and also to operate the opening/closing body by an extremely small operating force, by closing the opening/closing body against an elastic force of a plate spring, etc. CONSTITUTION:The base end part of an outside frame plate 1a of an automatic original feeding device 1 is supported pivotally by shafts 10, 11 of both supporting frame parts 8, 9 of the body. One end of a plate spring 13 formed by piling up plural slender and thin plate springs is fitted and fixed to the supporting frame part 9, and the other end of the plate spring 13 is fitted and fixed to a supporting cylindrical body 14 fitted to the shaft 10. The plate spring 13 is placed on the axis line of the shafts 10, 11 being supporting point shafts of the device 1. A cylindrical collar 15 is provided on the cylindrical body 14. A supporting member 17 of one end of the cylindrical collar 15 is fixed to a channel plate 18 of the outside frame plates 1a, 1b with a screw 19. The plate spring fixed to the frame part 9 and the cylindrical part 14 is fixed in a state that it is twisted by 90 deg. to each other.
