PURPOSE:To obtain an Fe-Co alloy with superior wear resistance by adding one or more among Al, Cr, Mn and Mo to an Fe-Co alloy. CONSTITUTION:An Fe-Co alloy is manufactured by adding one or more among Al, Cr, Mn and Mo, e.g., 1% Al and 1.5% Cr to an Fe-Co alloy consisting of 49% Fe, 49% Co and 2% V. The manufactured alloy is formed into a magnet, and the magnet is nitrided. The resulting magnet has considerably improved wear resistance. |
