The feed mechanism is intended for the drive of a winning machine which can be moved on a face conveyor 1. Two feed cylinders 5, 6, each with a continuous piston rod 6 emerging on either side from the cylinder housing 5, are arranged on the machine body 2 of the winning machine on the goaf side at a distance one behind the other. The ends of the piston rods 6 of each feed cylinder 5, 6 are mounted on a feed frame 10 displaceable relative to the machine body 2. These feed frames 10 are alternately displaced in the travel direction by the feed cylinders 5, 6. With a pawl 16 which can be pivoted laterally by an actuating cylinder 14, 15, the respective front feed frame is hooked onto a rung 4 of a drive shaft 3 fastened on the goaf side to the face conveyor 1. The alternate feed of the feed frames 10 with partly superimposed stroke movements moves the winning machine, advancing thereon, continuously in the travel direction. <IMAGE>
