PURPOSE:To permit to increase room cooling capacity without enlarging the scale of a refrigerating device by a method wherein the refrigerating device is combined with a humidifying cooler, arranged in parallel to a refrigerant evaporator with respect to the suction air stream of the same evaporator and utilizing drain water, produced from the same evaporator, as a water source, in order to utilize the evaporating heat of the drain water produced in the same evaporator. CONSTITUTION:Air, passing through the refrigerant evaporator 24, is dehumidified upon passing through the same evaporator 24 and the drain water is produced in the evaporator 24 while the drain water is flowed to the humidifying cooler 3 below the evaporator and is absorbed into an evaporating element 31 having air permeating and water absorbing properties. Air, passed through the evaporating element 31 of the humidifying cooler 3 from a room cooling air suction port 11B, receives humidifying effect and the amount of heat, corresponding to the latent heat of evaporation of water, is deprived by the humidifying effect, therefore, the air may be cooled. |
