PURPOSE:To enable one signal processing system to execute magnetic recording and reproducing processing independently of the difference of sampling frequency by controlling the travelling speed of a magnetic recording and reproducing speed, the signal processing speed of the signal processing system and the gain of an amplifier system after D/A conversion. CONSTITUTION:The sampling frequency is specified by a key switch 15 and alteration switch circuits S1, S2 are switched in accordance with the sampling frequency. The gain of buffer amplifiers 5, 6 is switched by an output from a system control circuit 14 in accordance with the sampling frequency. Receiving an oscillation output corresponding to the sampling frequency from a master oscillator 16 and a control signal from the control circuit 14, a tape travelling reference signal generator 18 generates a tape travelling reference signal having frequency proportional to the sampling frequency. The reference signal is supplied to a magnetic head 40-18 through an amplifier 26 and recorded in a magnetic tape, so that the magnetic tape 46 is driven at a travelling speed corresponding to the sampling frequency. A timing pulse generator 17 executes signal processing at a signal processing speed corresponding to the sampling frequency. |
