PURPOSE:To improve the operability by fixing an object to be tested with solenoids automatically in a tensile test device which tests tensile characteristics of the object to be tested (for example, a hair). CONSTITUTION:One end of a hair is put between a chuck 2 and a chuck base 4, and the other end is put between a chuck 3 and a chuck base 5, and chucks 2 and 3 are pushed to turn on chuck switches 20 and 22, and solenoids 19 and 24 are turned on through amplifying circuits 53 and 54 by a controller 100 to fix the hair in a prescribed position. Solenoids 19 and 24 incorporate restoring springs which loosen the chuck 2 when power is turned off. It is unnecessary to operate a clamp level manually, and thus, the operability is improved. |
