A Monoazo compounds of the formula wherein D is a diazo component radical of the 4-nitrophenyl series, thienyl-2 series, thiazolyl-2 series or 5-nitrobenzoisothiazolyl-3 series, R1 is hydrogen; C1-2alkyl; C1-2alkoxy; formylamino; (C1-4alkyl)carbonylamino; (C1-4alkyl)carbonylamino the alkyl group of which is substituted by 1 to 3 substituents independently selected from halo, C1-3alkoxy, cyano, phenyl, phenoxy and benzyloxy; (C2-4alkenyl)carbonylamino; halo(C2-4alkenyl)carbonylamino; benzoylamino; benzoylamino the phenyl group of which is substituted by 1 to 3 substituents independently selected from halo, C1-4alkyl and C1-4alkoxy; (C1-4alkoxy)carbonylamino; (C1-4alkoxy)carbonylamino the alkyl moiety of which is substituted by 1 to 3 substituents independently selected from halo, C1-3alkoxy, cyano, phenyl, phenoxy and benzyloxy; (C8-14alkyl)carbonylamino or (C8-14alkoxy)carbonylamino, R2 is C1-4alkoxy or 2-(C1-4alkoxy)ethoxy, R3 is hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, C8-14alkyl, 2-(C8-14alkoxy)carbonylethyl, 2-(C8-14alkyl)carbonyloxyethyl or 2-(C8-14alkoxy)carbonyloxyethyl, and R4 is hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, 2-cyanoethyl, 2-(C1-3alkoxy)ethyl, 2-(C1-4alkyl)carbonyloxyethyl, 2-(C1-4alkoxy)carbonylethyl, 2-(C1-4alkoxy)carbonyloxyethyl, C3-4alkenyl, C8-14alkyl, 2-(C8-14alkyl)-carbonyloxyethyl, 2-(C8-14alkoxy)carbonylethyl or 2-(C8-14alkoxy)carbonyloxyethyl, wherein R5 is C1-4alkyl, allyl, (C1-3alkyl)-carbonyl, phenyl or phenyl substituted by 1 to 3 substituents independently selected from halo, C1-2alkyl and C1-2-alkoxy, and R6 is hydrogen, C1-4alkyl and (C1-3alkyl)-carbonyl, with the proviso that one and only one of R1, R3 and R4 is or contains a C8-14alkyl group or moiety, which are useful for dyeing textile materials, for example polyester.
