<p>PURPOSE:To collect the generating frequency of many phenomena for a long period of time by counting the generating frequency for each of plural types of phenomena for a prescribed time interval respectively to store with a variable length code. CONSTITUTION:The memory unit of 8-bit length is divided into a 1-bit continuous flag area and a 7-bit numerical data area. When the value of the continuous flag area is set at ''1'', it means that the 7-bit numerical data stored in the corresponding memory unit is equal to the numerical data on the lower digits of the numerical data stored in the next memory unit. Therefore the storage is possible with a memory unit 1 containing a continuous flag of ''0'' when the generating frequency of a phenomenon is smaller than the value shown by 7 bits. If the generating frequency is larger than 8 bits and smaller than 14 bits, the storage is possible with a memory unit containing a continuous flag of ''1'' attached to the lower 7 bits and another memory unit containing a continuous flag bit of ''0'' attached to the upper 7 bits storing with the two memory units in all.</p> |
