PURPOSE:To replace a transfer material speedily and securely, by a construction wherein transfer material cassettes can be selectively faced to a transferring part. CONSTITUTION:When a thermal transfer ribbon 15 of the first ribbon cassette 14a is completely used and a fresh thermal transfer ribbon 15 is required, a unit inserting/detaching port provided in a right side face of a main body 1 of the device is opened. Then, a transfer material unit is drawn out, and is turned by 180 deg. so that the positions of the first ribbon cassette 14a and the second ribbon cassette 14b are replaced by each other. In this condition, the transfer material unit is pushed back into place, whereby the second ribbon cassette 14a is faced to the transferring part 30. |
