The main body (4) of the pedal is moulded of plastics and has a bored central section (41) to take the axis and two end sections with moulded grips. Two side frames (7,8) are of metal and link to the moulded section with snap fasteners. They have locating tubes (71c,81c) into the central section. One side frame has end sections (36,37) to grip around the ends of the pedal, with locating tags to grip into the cavities of the plastics moulding. The frames also locate the bearings.
