The invention relates to an apparatus for erecting a platform on a sloping house roof, which platform is used for depositing objects, e.g. roof tiles, and/or can be walked upon. The apparatus includes a bearing limb (3) which can be placed on the roof structure along a line of inclination and can be detachably fixed thereto, a platform limb (4) which is articulated to the upper end of the bearing limb (3) and a supporting limb (6) which is articulated at one end to the platform limb (4) and is mounted at the other end on the bearing limb (3) in such a manner as to be capable of pivoting, of being displaced in the longitudinal direction of the bearing limb (3), and of catching, at least in the downward direction, in the series of catch positions arranged in a row-like manner. The limbs (3, 4, 6) form a triangle with, in the case of any roof slope, a horizontal platform limb (4). The angles of the triangle and the length of that side of the triangle formed by the bearing limb (3) differ with differing roof slopes. <IMAGE>
