PURPOSE:To print a metallic character, by providing a printing form for forming a character to be printed, a printing form heating apparatus and an apparatus for pressing the printing form to the surface of a plastic card through a metal foil. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 1 is driven by a control circuit to perform the selection of a character to be printed and a moving table 10 is intermittently moved over a distance corresponding to one character every when one character is printed. A metal foil 13 wound by a reel and held by a heat resistant film is carried across under tension so as to be wound up by an empty reel 12 after passes under a printing wheel 2 and wound up by the empty reel 12 in small portions every when one character is printed. After the printing wheel 2 is heated by a heater, a plastic card 8 is placed on a table 9 and the selection of a character to be printed is performed by the control circuit to energize a solenoid 6. |
