MAGNETIC RECORDING METHOD OF MAGNETIC DISK

PURPOSE:To attain the miniaturization of a magnetic disk as well as the recording of high density by setting a fixed azimuth angle regardless of the track radius to perform the magnetic recording. CONSTITUTION:The lengthwise center S'' of a gap 11 of a recording/reproducing core of a magnetic head 10 is set at a point Pi which crosses the track radius Ri and vertically distant by L away from an axis X passing through the center of revolution of a magnetic disk and parallel to the track radius feed direction (x) of the magnetic head. The azimuth angle theta is set fixed regardless of the radius Ri between the length wise direction of the gap 11 and the axis X. Therefore the old data is completely erased even though the recording/reproducing is carried out with off-track. In this way, the noise component (n) is eliminated and the deterioration of S/N is prevented. Thus it is possible to attain the miniaturization of a magnetic disk device as well as the recording of high density.
