In a directional control valve for controlling the pressure-medium paths between a consumer and a pressure-medium source or tank, control lines for indicating the consumer pressure are provided which consist of one longitudinal bore each in the spool and transverse bores which are arranged in such a way that only a single common annular passage is provided in the housing, which annular passage is connected via a non-return or shuttle valve to a manifold for the consumer pressure when the spool is in the working position, whereas, in the neutral centre position of the spool, the annular passage is pressure-relieved to the tank connection. According to the invention, the housing is simplified and the pressure relief can be effected by the arrangement of the control lines in the spool. <IMAGE>
