PURPOSE:To detect the displacement of a high-temperature body by installing a temperature sensor as opposed to the surface of the body at specific distance and detecting the extent of the displacement of the body from temperature variation detected by said temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:The temperature sensor such as a thermocouple 6 and a thermistor is installed at specific distance from the high-temperature body, e.g. a combustor liner 1. This temperature sensor receives radiation from the high-temperature body, but is exposed to ambient fluid temperature on the whole, so there is some difference in temperature generated between the high-temperature body 1 and temperature sensor 6. Then, when the high-temperature body 1 is displaced to contact the sensor 6, the contact heat conduction is caused between the high- temperature body 6 and sensor 6, so the sensor temperature approximates to the temperature of the high-temperature body speedily. Therefore, the displacement of the high-temperature body is detected by deciding on the output of the sensor originating from the temperature rise. |
