PURPOSE:To attach an adapter body and a sleeve by one touch, to improve assembling, and to reduce the number of parts by fitting the projection on the internal surface of the adapter body in a recessed part in the external surface of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION:The projecting 12 is provided to the internal surface of the adapter body 1 and reverse thread 13 is cut. The recessed part 14 is provided to the sleeve 3 and a cut is made longitudinally to form an elastic body. Then, thread 15 is cut between the recessed part 14 and one end surface. The sleeve 3 is pressed to a small diameter and engaged rotatably, with the projection 12 at the recessed part 14 through the reverse thread 13. When a connector plug 7 is connected, the insertion of ferrules 6 incorporating optical fibers 5 from both sides of the sleeve 3 increases the diameter of the sleeve 3 to couple and align the ferrules 6.
