PURPOSE:A water-soluble, highly dyeable, good-resolution photopolymer which can be developed with water and can be dyed at low temperatures within a short time, prepared by adding a specified crosslinking agent to a specified terpolymer; and a method for producing a color separation filter therefrom. CONSTITUTION:The titled photopolymer composition is obtained by adding a water-soluble bisazide compound as a crosslinking agent to a terpolymer of (A) N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone, (B) a polymerizable unsaturated monomer having a structure of a quat. amine, and (C) a monomer of the formula [wherein R1 is H or CH3, and R2 is CnH2n-1 (wherein n is 1-8)]. A color separation filter is produced by applying the above composition to a base to form a pattern thereon, and forming a protective film on the pattern. The molar proportion of component A in the above terpolymer is preferably 30-85mol%, that of component B is preferably 5-30mol%, and that of component C is preferably 10-60mol%.
