PURPOSE:A heat accumulative material for preventing reduction in accumulated amount of heat caused by repeating use, obtained by blending a base material of sodium acetate trihydrate with disodium hydrogenphosphate as a nucleus-forming agent, a viscosity builder, and, further sodium hydroxide. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. base consisting of preferably 45-65wt% sodium acetate and water is blended with (B) preferably 0.5-30pts.wt. disodium hydrogenphosphate as a nucleus-forming agent, (C) 3-8pts.wt. viscosity builder, and (D) 0.1-5pts.wt. sodium hydroxide, to give the desired heat accumulative material. When this heat accumulative material is heated, sensible heat is accumulated, latent heat of melting is accumulated while being melted. When it is further heated, sensible heat corresponding to specific heat of the liquid phase is accumulated. During heat dissipation, first the sensible heat of liquid phase is released, crystal of sodium acetate trihydrate is grown when it is cooled to the temperature of solidification point, and the latent heat of solidification is released with solidification. When it is further cooled, the sensible heat of solid phase is released.
