PURPOSE:The titled composition which is lowly toxic or nontoxic and excellent in initial and prolonged lubricity, initial colorability, transparency, etc., comprising an alkyltin thioglycolate ester salt, a specified mixed ester, and a polyhydric phenol phosphite. CONSTITUTION:A mixed ester (B) having an acid value and a hydroxyl value, both in the range of 0-30, is obtained by reacting an aliphatic carboxylic acid (e.g., oxalic acid) with an aliphatic polyol (e.g., trimethylolpropane) and an aliphatic monocarbocylic acid (e.g.,lauric acid) at a molar ratio of (n-1):n:nm- 2(n-1) (wherein n is 2-11, and m is 2-6, and is the functionality of the polyol) at 150-260 deg.C for 1.5-8hr in the presence of a catalyst such as Zn. 10-90wt%. (A) alkyltin thioglycolate ester salt [e.g., dibutyltin bis(isooctyl thioglycolate)] is mixed with 1-50wt% component B, and 1-50wt% (C) polyhydric phenol phosphite (e.g., 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol (12-15 C)alkyl].
