PURPOSE:To supply rationally and automatically metallic ingots into plural melting devices by providing plural branch paths in a supplying path, and changing over the supply of the ingots according to the amt. of the ingots and molten metal in the preheaters attached respectively to said paths and melting furnaces. CONSTITUTION:Plural branch paths 9 are provided in the midway of a supplying passage 4 for ball-shaped ingots 2 of a raw material metal and the respective paths 9 are connected, via ingot preheaters 10, to plural melting furnaces 11 in the stage of supplying said ingots to the melting furnaces in die casting, etc. Limit switches, control devices and opening/closing cylinder devices for opening or closing the inlet part according to the amt. of the ingots are provided to the respective paths 9. The above-mentioned opening/closing cylinders are operated by the limit switches and control devices operating according to the amt. of the molten metal in the furnaces so that the ingots are automatically changed over and supplied rationally without excess or shortage into the melting furnaces. |
