PURPOSE:To measure a balanced temperature accurately by halting a forecast computation when signals indicating temperatures corresponding to two time points decrease after the difference between is below a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A clinical thermometer is composed of a temperature detector section 1, a measuring circuit 2, an arithmetic circuit 3 for determining a balanced temperature, a display section 4 and a control section 5. A forecast computing section 9 takes in the newest temperature data stored in a memory 7 and an elapse time measured with an elapse time measuring section 8 to perform a forecast computation of the balanced temperature. A measurement end decision section 10 halts the operation of the circuit 3 when outputs corresponding to two time points of a temperature data output 109 decreases after the difference therebetween is below a specified value. |
