PURPOSE:To enable to make perfect the electric isolation between the first electrodes of each of the first and second elements by providing the second open groove which performs the electric joint between the elements over the inside of the second electrode of the first element. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of photoelectric conversion elements having the first electrode 2, a non single crystal semiconductor 3 having a P-N or a P-I-N junction on this electrode 2, and the second electrode 4 on this semiconductor 3 are arranged on a substrate 1 having an insulation surface in mutually electrically series connection. In such a device, the open groove 18 which isolates semiconductors 3 of the first and second elements 31 and 11 and the first electrode 2 thereunder is provided over the position of the first electrode 2 of the first element 31, and the joint 12 extended from the second electrode 4 of the second element 11 is provided in close contact with the side surface of the first electrode 2 of the first element 31. |
