MANUFACTURE OF MASK FOR COLOR PICTURE TUBE

摘要

PURPOSE:To easily set mask interval with high accuracy by relatively fixing the mask before setting the interval through a binder which is deformed previously in the direction opposing to the mask widening direction and by setting an interval with a recovery force of binder. CONSTITUTION:A reference material 13 which becomes the reference of mask setting mechanism is provided to a mask frame 12 and has a plane 14 vertical to the tube axis direction. A movable part 15 of the binder 18 which becomes the setting mechanism is composed of an insulator 16 and an external mask fixing plate 17 fixed therethrough. The side of mask frame fixing part 19 of the binder 18 is fixed to the frame 12 through an elastic material so that the surface where is placed in contact with the reference surface 14 of the fixing part 19 is pressed to the reference surface 14 with a certain force. The mask interval setting plate 23 is inserted between the reference surface 14 and the surface 20 of elastic material and interval between the internal mask 11 and external mask 10 is fixed to zero. When the mask interval setting plate 23 is removed from such a condition, the mask interval 24 becomes equal to the thickness of setting plate 23 and thereby intervals between a plurality of masks can be set easily with high accuracy.
