In these devices the tyre, which is pressurised internally by a bellows, is shaped by an external shell. Axially movable plates are used to fix the bellows. In order to be able with these devices precisely to shape not only the lateral external surfaces and the radial internal surfaces, but also the flat sections facing the tyre hollow space, the plates serving to fix the bellows are designed at their mutually outwards-facing surfaces so as to pressurise the blank bead parts. To this end the two plates receive an edge section enclosing the clamping point for the bellows, which edge section is provided with an annular recess for the bead part and with a rim at the free outer circumference, the wall thickness of which rim is reduced gradually towards the outer circumference.
