PURPOSE:To ensure the display of recording paper end with high stability and high accuracy, by deciding the display timing for the end of the recording paper from the number of steps of a step motor. CONSTITUTION:The transport is started for the cut paper 6 by a step motor 8, and a cut paper tip detecting signal 22 is delivered when the tip of the paper 6 reaches right above a photosensor 9. The signal 22 is supplied to a latch circuit 23, and an enable signal 24 is delivered to actuate a counter circuit 15. The circuit 15 subtracts the pulse number of a driving pulse signal 14 from the preset value. When the preset value is reduced down to a prescribed level approximately to 0, a cut paper end detecting signal 25 is set at H level. When the signal 25 is delivered, it is decided that the end of the paper 6 reaches approximately a thermal head 4. |
