PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction due to noise and to reduce the size of an optical card device by using light and an optical fiber for a read of card information, and preventing the destruction of information by a magnet, etc., and improving the reliability of the secrecy maintenance of information. CONSTITUTION:An optical path changing device 3 and a photodetector 2 are connected to an optical transmitter 1 through optical fibers 4 and an optical control part consists of the optical transmitter 1, photodetector 2, and changing device 3. An optical head 5 is formed at end parts of those plural optical fibers 4, and the head 5 is disposed corresponding to the card position 7 of a card 6. This changing device 3 includes a means which demultiplexes light passing through respective optical fiber 4 into transmit light and receive light through a semitransparent film 9. Then, light and optical fibers 4 are used for reading card information; the destruction of information by the magnet, etc., is prevented, and the reliability of the secrecy maintenance of the information is improved; and malfunction due to noises is also prevented, and the size of the device is reduced. |
