PURPOSE:To improve the slidability and mold release characteristics, by blending a styrene compd.-grafted polyolefin wax with an arom. polymer other than styrene polymer. CONSTITUTION:1-900pts.wt. styrene compd. such as styrene or alpha-methylstyrene is grafted onto 100pts.wt. polyolefin wax having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.04- 0.5dl/g as measured in decalin at 133 deg.C, such as polyethylene wax obtd. by the thermal cracking of high-pressure polyethylene, prepare a styrene compd.-grafted polyolefin wax. 0.05-30pts.wt. said styrene compd.-grafted polyolefin wax is blended with 100pts.wt. arom. polymer other than that of styrene, such as arom. polycarbonate or arom. polyester, to obtain the desired arom. polymer compsn. |
