PURPOSE:To permit engine operation even if a pressure sensor in an intake pipe is broken, by controlling the ignition timing according to the output of a throttle-position sensor. CONSTITUTION:Anomaly of a pressure sensor is detected in step 501. Said anomaly of pressure sensor is judged according to the fact that whether the output of the pressure sensor is outside a prescribed range for a prescribed time or not. If the pressure sensor is normal, the ignition timing is obtained from the value of the pressure sensor and the number of revolution (step 501). When the pressure sensor is in an abnormal state, the ignition timing is obtained from the value of a throttle sensor and the number of revolution (steps 504, 505). Thus, engine operation is permitted even in the case when the pressure sensor in intake pipe is in abnormal state. |
