Warehouse for storing piece-goods, having at least one shelf (4, 5) with storage spaces for piece-goods (19) arranged laterally and horizontally, and at least one shelf service unit (6), which can be driven to the storage spaces and which is adapted to load and unload the storage spaces with piece-goods (19) resting on pallets (18), the shelf service unit (6) having at least one conveying device which is vertically adjustable to the front of the shelf (14, 15), characterized in that each storage space is deep enough to take a row of piece-goods (19) and in that at least one additional lateral conveyor (17) can be fitted to the conveying device (14, 15) for the selective removal of said piece-goods from a row thereof in the storage space, the pallets (18) bearing the piece-goods corresponding in length to the depth of the shelf. |
